What it does
Official BCV rate
The dollar and the euro, exactly as published by the Banco Central de Venezuela. This is the rate shops use to charge in bolívares.
Price calculator
Type a price in dollars and see the amount in bolívares instantly. It works the other way round too.
USDT market price
REF shows the buy and sell prices of USDT in bolívares, taken from verified merchants' offers on Binance P2P. Each price is backed by the public order behind it, so you can check where it comes from.
Works offline
The last downloaded figures stay on your phone, along with the time they were last updated. If you go offline, you can still see them and use the calculator.
History
REF keeps a history of the official rate and the USDT market price, so you can see how they have moved over time.
Where the numbers come from
The official rate is taken from the Banco Central de Venezuela's own publication and shown as it is, unmodified.
REF is not affiliated with the Banco Central de Venezuela or with any state institution.
The USDT market price is taken from orders published on Binance P2P: the top five verified merchants, excluding promoted listings, counting only orders of 100 USDT or more. The buy and sell prices are shown, and the midpoint is calculated from those two figures.
REF is not an exchange house or a financial intermediary. No purchases, sales or transactions of any kind take place inside the app.
